Net Zero Carbon House

Proposal for a rural net zero carbon house in the grounds of a walled garden and adjoining a listed building. The house is super insulated with a large array of photovoltaics, air source heat pumps, battery storage and use of 2 log burning stoves to reduce total reliance on electricity. Designed to have minimal impact on its surroundings, the house is single storey with large overhanging eaves to reduce heat gain. Living spaces are designed to flow into each other, but with each space allowed to be closed off with large sliding pocket doors.
